Free Falling o8.o8.o8 [came up with a poem on the day of the olympics]

It's like free falling every time I look into your eyes

From the way you say hello, right down to your goodbyes

It's every little thing you do

And it feels like a roller coaster ride, knowing that you're right by my side

I feel a rush every time you say my name

It wouldn't matter how; to me it's all just the same

My heart skips a beat whenever you come close

What hold you have on me, that only God knows.

You take my breath away with everything you do

Every move you make causes me to fall even more in love with you

If only you knew what your every smile does to me

Getting There You'd think by now I'd have gotten over everything
Your hands, your voice, the songs you used to sing
But my heart's being stubborn, it won't quit hoping
So until then, it'll just keep breaking

But slowly I'm getting there, soon you'll see
Soon I'll forget about you and me
Though right now it kinda feels like I'm going nowhere
Somehow, someway, someday, I'll be getting there

I sit silently and watch as your shoulders brush against each other
Sometimes I'm a tad more pleasant around you but you don't even bother
Then suddenly I'm left with just an empty seat beside me
As you dash to her side almost as if instinctively

It's times like these that make me wonder
What is it exactly you don't see in me, that you do in her
I die a little inside and my heart shatters into pieces every time
But I put on a smile for you and pretend I'm fine

Just one of the boys--just a friend; is that all I'll ever be?
Pick me, choose me, love me
